This painting of Lax Hill view in winter is from the Nature Reserve at Egleton near the market town of Oakham.
When Penny painted this view there were flocks of Lapwing and several Heron at the reserve.
The original has sold but we have a Limited Edition Print printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag or German Etching and the framed prints include a coloured vignette of either Lapwing or a Heron.
The Reserve is famous for it's Ospreys that regularly Migrate to Rutland Water every year in the early springtime.
